We Empower Children and Adults to Discover Their Full Potential

At Empowering Lives, our goal is for our students to become independent, confident, and self-directed learners who are equipped to achieve academic, career and life success.

If you are seeking accommodations or modified expectations - “work arounds” – that’s not the Arrowsmith approach.

Instead of relying on accommodations to tackle complex tasks, the Arrowsmith Program enhances the brain's capacity to handle them. Arrowsmith students strengthen vital cognitive functions required for reading, writing, mathematics, emotional intelligence, reasoning, critical thinking, and various skills relevant to academics, work, and life.

Our philosophy isn't about lowering expectations; it's about empowering our students to achieve them.

Arrowsmith's core emphasis is on identifying and fortifying these cognitive functions, ensuring that success becomes attainable. Our students are dedicated to enhancing their capabilities by increasing the capacity of the one tool they carry with them every day - their own brains!

Create Pathways to Success

The brain can change. The brain is neuroplastic. With the right approach and conditions positive changes happen.
Arrowsmith leverages the brain's remarkable capacity for change and our deep understanding of neuroplasticity principles to change brains and transform the lives of our students.

Arrowsmith's Cognitive Exercises, tapping into the brain's inherent neuroplasticity, strengthen neural pathways, and change our students' ability to learn to read, write, do math, comprehend, think critically, be empathetic, and engage in meaningful ways.

By addressing the root causes of learning challenges, our students improve their ability to tackle complex tasks. Students are able to redefine their future with increased independence, confidence, and a genuine sense of accomplishment. This newfound self-assurance is firmly grounded in tangible real-world competence.

Empowering Lives is proud to offer the Arrowsmith Program because we know the driving force behind the program is the neuroplasticity of the brain and the lifelong successes for our students.

Our Cognitive Exercises are designed to build capacity within the parts of the brain that are interfering with success in school, at work and in life.

With Us for a Short Time - Transformed for a Lifetime

Unique to Empowering Lives is the fact that we aren’t looking to keep our students for a long time – just the time required to improve our students’ cognitive functions and their ability to navigate the world with greater confidence, independence and success.

Our goal is to facilitate the cognitive changes required for future success and to support students’ transition to life beyond Arrowsmith.

Students who have had an Arrowsmith Cognitive Assessment completed are provided with an estimated program length based on their specific assessment results. Progress is monitored and assessed, allowing us to provide updates on the cognitive functions addressed through the programmed exercises.
